A field blend of native grapes from 35 different plots around the town of Lanciego in Rioja Alavesa. Estate grown. Organic. 450-650m asl. Aged for 14 months in large foudres and barriques. Bottled unfiltered.

Vintage Notes from the Winemaker: The year started with adequate rainfall in winter, but continued with a dry and unusually warm end of February and March. April and May were cooler, and rainfall made flowering late and long, followed by a hot summer. In September, significant rainfall brought water to the plant, and the warm, dry weather at the end of the cycle led to harvest small, well-aerated bunches and small berries, resulting in high quality wines.
