2023 Pieropan Soave Classico

2023 was a year with many faces, with a mild, dry winter and a rainy, cold spring, especially in May and June. We witnessed a succession of extreme events, with continuous rainfall that made vineyard management complicated during the budding and flowering phases. Summer arrived late in July, with a few heat waves that did not reach the extreme temperatures and duration seen in 2022. Harvest concluded in October, just before the arrival of heavy rains that affected much of central and northern Italy. The wines of the 2023 vintage are fresh, balanced, with a nice acid shoulder and good flavor.
